What the Decision Report is

The Decision Report packages the outputs with the reasoning behind them for people who were not in the room. It is the answer to “why did you prioritize X over Y” six months from now. It sits on its own in the sidebar below the three outputs, because it is not a fourth view of the data. It is what you produce from them, and the only surface with saved versions, share links and print. It unlocks when the outputs do.

What it contains

Header: the project’s strategic goal and success signal. Summary at a glance
  • A Recommended plan headline computed from the data: what fits the capacity, what it uses, and the budget split as the alternative view when one exists
  • Worth checking: the caveats a careful reader would raise
  • Inputs: how many stakeholders, how much of their weight came in self-submitted, by proxy or is still awaited, and how many must-haves
Executive Summary: the AI brief, short bulleted sections written from the numbers on the page (three in a Weighted project, two in a Direct one) Ranked List: every feature with its priority and its share, and a line explaining what each measures. Priority is value for effort, top item 10. Share is value alone. Budget Allocation: the split in hours and money, when a budget is set. Roadmap: the recommended plan and the deferred list, must-haves first, capacity used, each deferred item with its reason. Inputs: the needs with what serves each one, planned and deferred, and the stakeholders with their weights.

The AI brief

Click Generate Summary in the Executive Summary to have the AI write the brief. It reads only the report’s own numbers and follows strict accuracy rules: no totals that do not appear on the page, no links or people that do not exist in the project. Read it before you share it; it is a draft in your voice, not a verdict. Regenerate rewrites the brief and, in the same action, republishes the snapshot that every existing share link serves. The header says so. If the project has changed since the last generation, a banner says the report is stale and offers the same Regenerate.

Saved versions

Save version freezes the report as it stands under a name and an optional note. A saved version is read-only and does not change as the project evolves, which makes it the right thing to keep before a scope change or after a review. History lists saved versions to view or delete. The Free plan keeps three per project; Pro has no limit.

Sharing

Share creates a link anyone can open without an account.
  • Each link shows a frozen copy of the report taken when the link was created, in the sections you chose. Several links can coexist with different content; creating one never changes another.
  • Regenerate refreshes the copy every link serves.
  • Revoke a link and it stops working immediately; other links are unaffected.
  • On the Free plan, shared reports end with a small Powered by Weivo footer. Pro removes it.
Share early if you like: a link to a work-in-progress report lets stakeholders flag concerns before you lock voting.

Printing and PDF

Print / Export PDF lets you choose which sections to include, then opens your browser’s print dialog. Choose Save as PDF there to get a file. The report is laid out for paper: the app’s chrome is left out, sections start on new pages where they should, and colours are flattened for print. The report on screen is unchanged by what you leave out of an export.

Tips

  • Lock voting before generating the report you intend to share, so a late revision does not make the brief stale.
  • Save a version at every review. The history of versions is the history of the decision.
  • The whole project, not just the report, exports to .xlsx with Export project data on any output tab.
