What is a decision report?

A decision report is the final artifact of your Weivo project. It captures the ranked list of features, the methodology you used, the stakeholders involved, and the reasoning behind every ranking. It is designed to be shared with people who were not in the room — executives, customers, auditors — who need to trust the outcome.

Generating a decision report

  1. Make sure your project has at least one need and one scored feature
  2. Go to the Analysis tab (or Report tab, depending on your planning mode)
  3. Click Generate report
  4. Weivo’s AI layer creates a narrative explaining the ranked outcome in plain language
The generated narrative describes why the top-ranked features scored highest, how stakeholder weights influenced the result, and what tradeoffs were made. You can regenerate the narrative at any time if your data changes.

Exporting to PDF

Once a report is generated, you can download it as a PDF. The PDF includes the full ranked table, the methodology section, stakeholder weights (in weighted mode), and the AI-generated narrative. On the Free plan, PDFs include a “Made with Weivo” watermark. Pro plan PDFs are clean and unbranded.

Sharing your report

You can share a read-only version of your decision report with anyone using a secure link.
  1. In the Report tab, click Share report (or the share icon)
  2. Weivo generates a unique, token-gated link
  3. Anyone with the link can view the report — they do not need a Weivo account
The share link is revocable. If you need to prevent further access, go to the share settings and revoke the link. The old link immediately stops working.

Scenario snapshots

If you want to save a point-in-time version of your analysis — for example, before a major scope change — you can create a scenario snapshot.
  1. In the Analysis tab, click Save scenario
  2. Give it a name and an optional note describing what changed
  3. The snapshot is locked and cannot be edited
Snapshots let you compare “before” and “after” states of your prioritization, which is useful for retrospectives and change management.

Tips

  • Share your report link early, even before you finalize the data. Stakeholders can see the work in progress and flag concerns before you lock it in.
  • The decision report is the best answer to “why did you prioritize X over Y?” — point people to the report instead of re-explaining the analysis.
